A little about us...

LARKS is dedicated to promoting the hobby of model aviation in the Lexington, SC area. This enjoyable hobby consists of building and flying radio controlled model aircraft. Our primary goal is to promote safety while flying RC model aircraft. LARKS is chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). The AMA provides liability insurance to the club and to each member.

Larks is a family envoirment and does no allow the use of drugs or alcohol at our flying field, events, or contest.

Our due structure is; $80.00 for the first year (new member) and $60.00 each year there after (provided you renew before Dec. 31st). A junior membership is available to those 19 and under for $10.00, and a spouse membership for $40.00 We also require that each Larks member also be an AMA member.

Our members fly all types of RC aircraft. You will see trainers, fun fliers, warbirds, jets, and helicopters.

The club has several qualified instructors who will be glad to teach you to fly your airplane at no charge. Anyone interested in learning about RC model aircraft is encouraged to attend the regular monthly meeting at Carolina Wings & Rib House (2347-C Auguta Rd West Columbia SC) on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Members will be happy to provide information and assistance concerning airplane kits, helicopters, engines, radio equipment, and accessories.
